19# Muntons 2-row Pale Malt

10 oz. Caramunich III

10 oz. Crystal 135L

2 oz Challenger (7.5%) @ 60 Min.

1.5 oz. Challenger (7.5%) @ 30 min.

1.5 oz. Challenger (7.5) @ 5 min.

Wyeast 1056 yeast

Target og 1.092 for 80% efficiency

Barleywine

So, my brew buddies Nate and Chris, and I, gave this recipe for english  barleywine a shot on March 21, 2008. Had a few issues. I managed to knock my manifold off during mash in, but the grain compacted around the outlet, so it worked out ok. We ended up at an og of 1.088 (22 brix).  Not too bad, about 75% without getting the heaviest stuff out due to the manifold problem. Oh well, I’ll post an update after bottling.
