Change in the look of forums
Howdy everyone,
As you can see, I recently changed the look of the forum. I wanted to make it a little more personable and not as sterile. It's still a work in progress of course. I guess I'm just looking for a little bit of feedback. Is this as easy to use as the other one? Do you like it more? I think I'll give folks the option to use the other one if they want still once I figure out how to do that. Until then, just tell me what you think. Thanks a lot, it's great to have you here.

Re: Change in the look of forums
I like it. It looks really good.
One suggestion, if possible, would be to have the active postings be a color that stands out more. On my computer at least the new postings are indicated by a muted green which really doesn't really catch your eye.
Also I noticed while writing this posting that the font size of the "comment box" is very small. Increasing the font size would be nice.
Oh well...just a thought.

I was having probems before you changed it. Sometimes it wouldn't post. I would copy the post to my clipboard, logout and then when I came back on paste it and it would post. Possibly because you were working on it.
The green color doesn't really catch my eye either.
Hmmm, still having that problem.

Re: Change in the look of forums
No real problems here. Just want to chime in and say that I agree that there is a need to change the active posting to something more distinguishable, and that the font size while posting could be a bit larger.

I'd feel a bit more confident if the logo was a jet fighter going "ballistic" instead of taking a nose dive.

It's an interesting look.
I'm glad someone mentioned it, I didn't notice the green at all.

i prefer the menu's on top or on the very bottom, i don't like a big part of the page taken up with them. glad you're keeping an eye on things, keep up the good work.

Re: Change in the look of forums
I'm digging on the Brewers Roundtable Beer Mug! I like the use of the beer mug as the topic icons also. However, I think you need to be able to distinguish from topics that you have already viewed and those that you haven't. Maybe an empty mug for the viewed topics?
Also, the jet icon is still showing on several of the boards topics. Just FYI.
Good Work, Matt!
