Competition Results
I entered a competition for the first time, the NHC. Hey, why not start big?
I got the results back a couple days ago, and my imperial stout scored 34. Not bad, but I was hoping for a little higher. Although it was my first imperial stout ever!
Next year, I guess.
If anyone has never entered one before, I recommend it. I got some great feedback from the judges coming from an impartial viewpoint. Very helpful to me. It was great to see where my beer really sits in the world since I'd like to do it professionally someday...

Cudos, Curlyfat!
I've been wanting to enter a few comps too. The only problem is, I keep drinking all the beer I'm supposed to be sending off....
I'm sure I'll get around to it one day. A few of the guys in my brew club are into competitions, and it definitely looks like something I'd enjoy doing. I doubt I'm going to win any medals, but like you said, it'd be nice to get some feedback from some experienced people.

Here's to a long life and a merry one
A quick death and an easy one
A pretty girl and an honest one
A cold beer and another one
