I used an immersion chiller for awhile until i started doing 10 + gallon batches.
I then made a counterflow chiller & a prechiller.
I am currently making another counterflow chiller to sell on my online store.
If you need any info let me know. The counterflow chiller is a bit more tricky
The immersion chiller is pretty simple. With a couple commpression fittings would be easy.

what kind of container did you brew your 10 gallon in?
I have read posts on here where people have brewed 10 and even 15 gallon batches, what kind of pot would i use and where would I get one?
Also what did you use for you secondary?

I use a 15.5 gallon stainless sankey keg.
I cut the top out with my plasma cutter & also installed a weldless stainless valve.
I also make & sell kettles if needed also.

I am getting my wholesale account setup. It sounds like i will be getting great prices on copper & other fittings.
I will be posting some prices on my site when i figure out what the chillers will cost.
If anybody wants a price on any type of chiller let me know.
Immersion or counterflow.

As was stated earlier i also ues a converted keg, but mine fittings are welded. A plasma cutter is the waqy to take out the tops, but remember if you did not buy the keg it is stolen property. All grainers can make 10 gal., but if you use extract like i do and use a partial boil i can make 20 gallons at once in one. i have 6 of them and my last light beer i made was 100 gallons. My friends one a head brewer loves the stuff and are sucking them down. i do not like it as well, it was a hot early spring and my cooler was not set up and it fermented around 80 F increasing the fruity flavor. Before you start making bigger batches i would sugest kegging first bottling is to much work and time plus the beer will be safer and better..

We make in the pot chillers, I like them better because they are easier to clean and sterilize. they are not quite as effecient and use a little more water, but the trade offs for me made the in the pot chiller best for me.
We make them to sell, but they are not hard to build. You will need to purchase the right size spring bender, we use refrigeration tubing which is thicker and sized differently then soft copper tubing. It also costs more. We rap it around a 3 gallon carboy to create the circle of tubing and then bend the bottum and top so they are together at the top and run straight up above the rings. Then we take 16 guage wire and wire the loops together in three places around the chiller and the out and in tied togeter and to the rings. We make 4 turns on the wire before wraping it around the next ring this gives spaceing between rings making it more efficent in cooling and giving it alot of strengh so it does not spring up and down. the ends at the top are bent over 90 degrees so they end outside the pot and any leaks will not be in the pot.

jeepdude's jus feinin' interest to whore out his site.
& welcome to the board limey!!
I'll give you detailed pics so you can build your own.
But with the price of copper & stuff & the cost i get it at my chillers are not too much more than you can buy the parts for.
I do like to give the option of my stuff but on anything i will help somebody build their own.
