Ginger Beer
Thinking about trying this as a little summer project but make as I would wine at 6% alc., Its under 10% alch. and no hops added , thinking what is there for a preservative. Just add ascorbic acid ,this enough to make sure its good for 6 months or so?

Re: Ginger Beer
Years ago I made root beer, orange soda, and ginger beer from those non alcoholic kits. I don't recall if they put anything in it to preserve it or not. Takes a very minimal amount of yeast and bottle right away and drink after a few weeks.

Re: Ginger Beer
The wife and daughter like strawberry. I did up some strawberry soda. Just drank the last one. The wife gave me a pretty dirty look like it was her's or something.LOL Daughter is off in college and will be home on spring break next week, I'm sure she will be looking for them also, she said they were better than ones in store.
