Liquid line
I have a couple of kegs, one filled with Cream Soda and the other with Root Beer. I only have one connection to my CO2 so I'll have to switch that back and forth until I decide I'm sick of doing that and purchase what I need to have them both hooked up at the same time. And I was told that a root beer liquid line should really only be used for root beer as it will always have the root beer smell/flavor. So I have two liquid lines. And they are just 6' of 3/16 with a ball lock on one end and a picnic hand held plastic dispenser. While I was sanitizing the keg I was putting the cream soda in I figured that we wouldn't be drinking the root beer for a little while and thought I should clean that liquid line. So I was going to dismantle it to clean it, well that proved to be a challenge as the barb fittings are holding much more than I can pull.
So I then thought that I would at the very least hook it up to the keg that I was sanitizing and use CO2 to push the SAN STAR through the line. That seemed to clear up the line but now I have SAN STAR in my liquid line that I might not use for a month or so.
Yes, here comes my question.
Can I leave the San Star in the line with no ill affect on it? Or should I find a friend that is tougher than I to pull these fittings off from the hose?
Thanks in advance for your bountiful knowledge in the world of kegging.

Re: Liquid line
I guess it all depends on the type of plastic your line is made of. Some plastics are sensitive to long term acid exposure. I had a line that I left soaking in star san for 3 or 4 days that turned milky and soft. I'd be careful about it.
What I've done to help solve these problems is switch to flare ball locks with quick disconnect fittings. I tell you, it's definitely worth it!

These have made kegging so much easier for me!
Hope this helps!

Re: Liquid line
push the picnic faucet until it locks open. Then push the little thing in the ball lock(in the enter). It should drain from the line then. If you do need to remove the line you can soak the ends in some hot water. ball lock and faucet too when removing.
The way i do it is to just slit the line and cut the 1/4" off next time i use it.
I wouldnt let it sit in there. But i do let iodopher sit in spray bottles i guess. It discolors them though.
