Looking for Recipe (Not-Lager) for Sterling Hops

Postby new2brew » Mon Dec 07, 2009 7:58 pm

Hi All,
My brother in law gave me some Sterling Hops from Humboldt County as a gift. I am looking for a good recipe that uses Sterling Hops. I would like it to use only Sterling, but if there aren't any good suggestions I could attempt to pick up another type to go with them.

I am a beginner/intermediate brewer. I prefer an extract/grain type recipe I don't have the means to go all grain.

Thanks

I personally don't know of any recipes that use sterling hops, but I do know they are similar to saaz hops, so if you want a non-lager you are mostly looking at belgian or wheat ales.

I have used spalter, hersbrucker, belgian saaz and tetnanger to hop and dry-hop pale ales though they are normally used for lagers I think, so I suppose sterling would work too.
