Other wines.........
I have thought about making cherry or blueberry wine. Has anybody else tried making wine with other fruits than grapes?

when the grapes are out of season, i make a lot of different wines. pomegranates are ready in the fall and they make very good wine, elderberrys make the best wine in early fall, persimmons are a great winter wine, and in the spring, peppermint is my choice. during the summer plum and apricot are what we make while waiting for the grape harvest. if you don't have the raw materals available, there many kinds of purees and concentrates available that make good wines.

I've made blackberry wine a number of times. I've also done a strawberry wine as well as a hard apple cider. And, of course, honey wine (better known as mead). If you end up doing a cherry wine, I'd be curious to know how it turns out. Best of luck.
