Recomendations please
What's up??? So I brewed for the first time this weekend, with the help of my neighbor and I have 5 gallons of porter that I want to add esspresso and chocolate to in a week. My neighbor, who is an experienced brewer suggested about 1/4lb. of esspresso done in a french press and then add in my hersey's powdered baking chocolate to the boiling water that I will make the esspresso from to dissolve it as well as sterilize it. I just thought I'd see what other opinions where, so I could go from there. Any advise would be great and also how much chocolate should I use.
Thanks alot

Re: Recomendations please
The amount of chocolate to add all depends obviously on how strong you want the chocolate taste, but from what I've seen the norm is around 4-8oz. Adding it to the boiling espresso sounds like it should do the trick. If you haven't done it yet, you may want to rack the beer into a secondary before adding it.
