So what's the latest on this project GuitarLord5000? I just got back to the forums and it seems like a really cool thing.

Well.....
I gotta beg your pardon for a while longer.... Sometimes life comes at you hard and fast. With my recent work changes (promotion to a new department...good thing!), dedicating a lot of time to a project with quite a lot of minor problems (a MAJOR annoyance),and Hurricane Gustav (most assuredly NOT a good thing), I've had precious little time to work on the HBA. To add to all of this, I've got a coupla extra family members living with me, because Hurricane Ike passed through their neck of the woods. In addition to everything else, I've found a bug that needs to be fixed before I can zip the HBA and send it to Matt.

I'd like everyone to know that I haven't abandoned the project. You can be assured that I'll get back to it as soon as possible.

Once again, I apologize for the wait, as well as my current absence from the Roundtable's message boards. I will be back. In the meantime....

Cheers
Dave

I've zipped the file and sent it to Matt. Once he decides how to distribute it, then the Homebrew Alchemist will be available to all members!

Since I've sent Matt the file, I've added a Hops Alpha Loss calculator, to determine how much alpha loss your hops have experienced, depending on how they're packaged, and what temperature they're stored at. The version that Matt has, does not yet have this calculator, but future versions will.

Looking forward to some input from this one, so once Matt posts the file, if you decide to try it, PLEASE post what you think about it. I want constructive criticisms, but hopefully I'll get a few rave reviews too!

Here's hoping ya'll like it!

Cheers
