So i was racking my wine and I broke my auto siphon.
I was trying to take the tube off of the end and I pulled too hard and..... snap! I broke the siphon "handle" right off.

You cant just stick a piece of rubber tubing over it? If its just the "handle" part, you should still not have trouble making it siphon.

Funny you should ask.....
I just boiled 2 gallons of water to cool the wort and Wyeast is has been started and I will start the wort later today. Here are some pics so far.
This is a pic of a 5 gallon water bottle, i sanitized it and marked it per gallon.
Here it is in my "beer" fridge cooling, it should only take a couple of hours to be ready to add to the wort.
P.S. I live in Strongsville, which is a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio... We got pounded with almost 2 feet of snow between Friday at 1 pm and Saturday until about 9pm.
Stay tuned for more pics.

Here is the kit unpacked from the box. Phat Tyre Amber Ale!
Here i am steeping the grains waiting for the 170 degree mark!
Once the water was at 170 degrees, i took the grain bag out and stirred in the malt (both dry and liquid)
Once the wort came to a boil, I added the hops. The wort must boil now for 60 minutes!

so it has been over a week since the wort has been in the primary fermenter and it is still bubbling!
Should i leave it in the primary until the bubbling stops or should i rack it to the secondary?
